I have an appointment for an inspection, why am I given a 2-hour window?: Our inspectors are still firefighters and can be called away for emergencies in town. We make every effort to keep appointments, however, we reserve the right to postpone and cancel shall the need arise.

1. Does Ashland Fire take cash for permits?: No, cash is not accepted. Please make your check or money order out to the "Town of Ashland."

2. Why can't I have a fire pit?: Open burning is tightly controlled by the State of Massachusetts. Burning brush with a permit during approved times is the only type of open burning that is permitted.
