With crashes being a leading cause of death for all children, ensuring your child is in a correctly installed car seat that is appropriate for their size is the best way to ensure their safety when your family is on the road. But many parents still misuse their child’s seat, due to uncertainty over which type of seat their child should be in or confusion when installing it. There is plenty of help out there for parents who need a hand.
We currently have three National Child Passenger Safety Certified firefighters on staff and ready to assist. Our technicians have attended a 3 day Child Passenger Safety (CPS) certification course, including written examinations and hands-on evaluations, to ensure parents and caregivers receive the best education and hands-on assistance. CPS technicians also keep up to date on the latest technical information about CPS through seminars and required continuing education.
Please email us to schedule an appointment. Car seat safety inspections are performed while our members are on duty, in between responding to emergency calls and performing daily station duties. While we try for a prompt response, please allow for up to 48 hours to be contacted by one of our two technicians to schedule an appointment.
